The Asus Eee PC T101MT-EU17-BK 10.1-Inch Convertible Tablet (Black) is yet another challenger to the iPad but it looks like it might well be up to the task.

The key downside with the Asus Eee is the low memory. They try to compensate with the free online webstorage but really, you want a tablet that lets you store what you want on it. The main plus is Windows 7, which means that you can run any application or piece of software that is Windows compatible (most of them). By contrast the Apple iPad is run on Apple's in house operating system and needs special apps to be built to run other programs.
